Showcase Sunday #6

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits and Tea. The aim of this event is to showcase our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders this week. Hello everyone :) How has your week been? :) I’ve had lots of post this week, every day there’s been a knock at the door and I’ve been eagerly awaiting the post man every morning!

In my post this week:

??????????

??????????

  1. Who’s Afraid Of Mr Wolfe? by Hazel Osmond (Purchased)
  2. The Fall by Claire McGowan (Purchased)
  3. Out Of Sight Out Of Mind by Evonne Wareham (To be reviewed)
  4. The Light Between Oceans by M. L. Stedman (To be reviewed)
  5. Stalkers by Paul Finch (Won)
  6. Secrets From The Past by Barbara Taylor Bradford (To be reviewed)
  7. Dinner At Rose’s by Danielle Hawkins (To be reviewed)
  8. Without Him by Fiona O’Brien (Gifted)
  9. None Of My Affair by Fiona O’Brien (Gifted)
  10. Falling For You by Giselle Green (To be reviewed)

I purchased two books from my wishlist last week – Who’s Afraid Of Mr Wolfe? and The Fall. I don’t know about you all but I find with every book I purchase from my wishlist, I add another five books! There are so many books I’m desperate to read and I just wish I had more time!

I received five review books this week which I’m really excited about starting on! Earlier this week I read and reviewed Falling For You by Giselle Green, and I’d definitely recommend it (the review is here). Stephen is going away with work for a few weeks so I’m glad I have some more review books as I’m hoping to busy myself with reading! We went out yesterday and bought about seven crime fiction books (I’m really into those lately!), so he’s taking those with him to read whilst he’s away, but I’m actually looking forward to starting on them when he comes back  :) In the meantime, I’m going to busy myself over the next few weeks with my to-read pile. I’m particularly looking forward to Out Of Sight Out Of Mind and The Light Between Oceans.

So….Over to you all! What did you buy or download this week? Did you borrow any books from friends or the library? Any review books come your way? Let me know in the comments section :)I’d love to hear about what you’re reading :)

    • I’ve heard SO many great things about Hazel Osmond, I have both Who’s Afraid Of Mr Wolfe and The Last Time I Saw Your Face on my bookshelf so hoping to read at least one of them whilst Stephen’s away :)

Very excited also about Out Of Sight Out Of Mind :) Glad you enjoyed it, I like your recommendations so I have a feeling I will enjoy it!

Hope you enjoy your half-term Shaz! xxxxxxxxxxx

      • I have The Last Time I Saw Your Face on Kindle – booked out a few weeks for ME because I really want to read some of the books I’ve bought :) Hope you’re not too lonely without Stephen :( Thanks Megan x

  1. I always add loads of books to my wishlist every week – this type of post is particularly dangerous as I now want to get my hands on Out of Sight, Out of Mind! So many book I want to read…
Great haul this week though – I love it when loads of books arrive in the post! :-)

  2. Wow great haul this week! I know what you mean about adding about 5 books for every one that you get from your wishlist… especially when you read other people’s Showcase Sundays and see even more that look good :-) The Light Between Oceans sounds so good, and now it’s added to my wishlist too!

Have a great week and enjoy your reading!

  3. Ha, that’s EXACTLY what I do! It’s a vicious circle :D The Fall has been on my wishlist for a few weeks so I’ll be looking forward to hearing what you think. Stalkers looks great too, although I don’t think I’ve heard this title before – I’ll need to check it out on Goodreads. Also, I LOVED E. Wareham’s previous book so again, I’ll be looking forward to your review. :)

Looks like you had another amazing week! Hope you enjoy your new books, hun. xxxxxxx
